We tell you the whole route before you start — every step, every document, and every place it tends to go wrong — and then we stay with you until you are registered. You do the filing yourself; we make sure you know exactly what to file, where, and in what order. Prices are published in full, including VAT.

  • A 60-minute call for anything you want to ask
  • Refunded in full if no recognition route is available to you

Relocation Route

  • A named case manager who knows your file, with a monthly review through your first six months
  • Every document explained: what to request, from whom, in what order, and what usually goes wrong. You request them; before you file, we go through the complete set with you
  • Your application to CIBG — and to RGS where relevant — explained form by form, including what comes back and how to answer it. You submit it yourself
  • MentoraMedic Online Academy: the full Medical Dutch course (A0 → B1, 40 units) included
  • A language plan with an institute of your choice, and a monthly look at your progress
  • Feedback on your CV and motivation letter in Dutch format, and interview practice
  • The CAO framework and salary scales explained, so you can judge an offer yourself
  • Housing: recommendations for short-stay providers (optional)
  • Arrival: a step-by-step list — municipal registration, BSN, DigiD, health insurance, bank, GP
  • Information on schools and childcare for children coming with you

Recognition & Relocation Route

  • The general recognition procedure explained step by step: why your education is assessed on its content rather than the title of your diploma, and what that asks of your file
  • Which document to request first — usually your curriculum from your university, because it is reliably the slowest to arrive
  • Credential evaluation by IDW (Nuffic) explained: what they need and how to submit it. You submit it and pay their fee directly
  • Online Academy BI-toets preparation (BigMentor), included for your waiting period — from the day you file until you sit the examinations

Both routes are for doctors moving to the Netherlands. A qualification from outside the EU/EEA needs lawful residence here before a route can start — the right to be here is a precondition, and it is not something we arrange. You pay in three instalments, each tied to a stage of your route rather than to a date, so a case waiting with an authority costs you nothing that month.

What you do yourself — with us beside you

We explain every one of these steps, recommend who to use, and check with you that nothing is missing — but these are things you do, or that someone else does for you directly:

  • Sworn translations, legalisation and apostilles — by a translator or notary of your choice
  • Requesting documents from universities, hospitals and authorities in your home country
  • Submitting your applications to CIBG, RGS and IDW (Nuffic), and answering their questions — we do not act on your behalf or represent you before them
  • Residence permits and visas — we do not arrange these and do not deal with IND
  • Finding a job — we are not a recruitment agency and do not place candidates with employers

And we cannot promise an outcome: CIBG, RGS and IND decide, not us. What we promise is that you go in knowing the route, the documents and the pitfalls.

Costs you pay directly

These are not part of our fee and we take no share of them. You pay the authority or provider yourself; your audit lists what applies to you.

BIG register (CIBG)

€85 (2026) / €121 (from 1 Jan 2027)

Charged by CIBG for entry into the BIG register.

Specialist register (RGS)

€298 + 21% VAT (€360.58)

Charged by the Registration Committee of Medical Specialists, if you hold a specialty.

Translations & notary

€200 – €600 (indicative)

Charged by sworn translators and notaries, depending on how many documents and which languages.

Right of withdrawal (14 days)

As a consumer buying online you may withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason. If you ask us to start straight away, you keep that right until the service is fully performed and pay only for the part already delivered (art. 6:230v lid 3 BW). You give that consent at checkout, not on this page — it reads:

“I consent to the immediate performance of the service within the 14-day cooling-off period and acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.” To withdraw, write to info@mentoramedic.eu.

Who we are

MentoraMedic is an advisory service for doctors on the recognition route under Directive 2005/36/EC. We are not a law firm, not a competent authority and not a recruitment agency, and we do not represent clients before CIBG, RGS, IDW (Nuffic) or IND. Our services are an obligation of best efforts (inspanningsverplichting); every decision on registration and residence rests with the authority concerned. We do not work on a percentage of your salary and charge no fee that depends on you being hired.
